Volunteering with Warwickshire Pride is an incredibly rewarding experience that will enable you to make a difference to the lives of LGBT+ people, as well as developing your skills. We are currently seeking volunteers to join our team and help to run the Proud Parents support group. The group takes place monthly and is for parents, families and carers of LGBT+ people. The group provides a source of support for those attending, who are maybe struggling to accept their family member’s sexuality or gender identity. The group also exists to educate, empower and inspire attendees to become more open-minded and supportive of their LGBT+ family members.
The Proud Parents support group runs on:
The first Saturday of each month from 12:00am – 2:00pm at South Lodge, Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa.
As a Warwickshire Pride volunteer, you will be entitled to paid expenses, as much tea, coffee and cake as you can handle, various training opportunities, and access to our Proud Volunteers closed Facebook page. Regular social events are also held for Warwickshire Pride volunteers.
